Look ~ di Amare… Sixties Wave meets American Folk Style.
There’s something about sixties wave Fashion, that bares a distinctive level of sultry, seductiveness. The colours, prints and textures of the sixties play sentiment to a time when Fashion was at it’s most prolific – with the embedded culture and notion of ‘Anything looking good, if you wore it right.’
SS/12 Collections have been paramount in displaying Designer love for Sixties swing; checked patchwork on babydoll dresses, bold flairs and the ever loving peter pan collar style trend.
Here is my casual, day to evening wear take on Sixties colour brights, and sequin stampede, combined with a touch of American Folk Style, which embellished the Catwalks of last season – another favourite of mine. Combined with Navy Blue Wide leg Flairs (Boohoo.com), Vintage Suede centre stone buckled Belt (Portobello Market), Heavy sequined Waistcoat in Silver and Gold (H&M), Trilby in mustard (Soho Thrift Store) and deep patten stitched Ankle Heels in cream (ABE UK).
