London Fashion Week 2011 Calling Caroline Charles {London}

The showcase opening of this years London Fashion Week will be a glamorous occassion to remember. Gracing the pearly catwalk stages will be the likes of Felder Felder, Sass and Bide, Corrie Nielson and Paul Costelloe. A personal fave of mine and a show I cannot wait to attend is Caroline Charles.

The London based dress designer has reinvented herself and her designs spanning over 47 years – no doubt, one of the most experienced pioneers in the fashion industry.

Caroline Charles style, would be best described as high end feminine – shapely, sophisticated grown up glamour. In essence, Charles identifies with women who look for a distinctive look to add to their wardrobe collection.

Her trademark piece would be the the Caroline Charles Jacket – The feminine corset jacket, fitting, chic and long lasting, in divine luxury fabric. A collectors piece that masters the finery of sophistication.

The Caroline Charles S/S 2011 Collection, comprised a quintessential selection of Chic party dresses to played down leggings and long check prints. Accompanied by dainty hand pieces, skinny belts, caps, top hats and oversized playful sixties inspired sunglasses and frames – All in the fashion mix.

Merciless florals, no mess checks, slim line pencil skirts, with a natural 60’s acquired flavour. A collection of diverse trend setting styles – appealing to a wide audience.

With 70’s chic meets folk revolution being the designer must for this A/W 2011, Charles is drawing on the influence of strong, striking colours, with a smart twist for her A/W Collection. If her S/S 2011 Range is anything to go by, we will indeed be in for a treat.
